In 2024 we introduced the first award for graphics students at The University of Greater Manchester.

This award is designed to showcase and give back to the next generation of creatives. A couple of years ago we launched ‘featured’ and showcased 30+ recent graduates and this is the next progression from this.

This award will be for one second year student to support them in the final year of university and also a third year to support post university and pre-job hunt.

This is the next step to show support for the next wave of creatives whilst also continuing to feature the best in the creative industries through featured and keeping the industry accesible.

About the course

Our Graphic Design programme is built around creative problem-solving, critical thinking and real-world practice. Students develop professional skills through live briefs, industry engagement and collaborative projects. We encourage curiosity, experimentation, and the confidence to tackle complex design problems.

Teaching takes place in a lively studio environment by tutors with industry experience. Each year we welcome a range of guest speakers as well as taking part in various networking events such as Two+Two. Over two thirds of our graduates are employed within the creative industries.

Graduates leave with a professional portfolio, industry experience and the confidence to thrive in a rapidly changing design landscape. If you are considering a future in the creative industries, we would love to hear from you.
